THE JOURNEY TO THE FULI FARMERS' MARKET

Our raft slides from the River Li into the Fuli Dock. We disembark to wend our way up to the village of Fuli.

Farmers use the causeway to walk to the Fuli Farmers' Market.
Locals and tourists make their way to and from the Markets.

The Grand entrance to Fuli village. However despite our efforts
we were unable to find the restaurant in any direction.

The road from the Dock wends passed Village buildings .
Ancient buildings lend Chinese authenticity to our walk.

Our walk through alleys sees us meet locals that have left the market.

This was the alley which saw a vicious dog confront us.
Our saviour fortuitously happened at once.
We were rescued by a 3 wheeled village taxi
which also provided cover from the now steady rain.

Our taxi enters the broader streets of Fuli.
As the rain tumbles down we rush towards the market.

Vendors defy the rain and openly display goods.
Some buyers surge towards the covered market building.

Some Chinese sellers just ignore weather conditions.
For some, the pace of market day is really hectic.

Are the white coated food police coming to take me away?
